winter war by seabright

There have been zip loads of good releases this month, including many leaks of highly anticipated albums. Amidst all of the madness, I keep finding my way back to this charming and well-crafted release by seabright called dark city.
I like this album for the same reasons I dig the recently reviewed Turning Torso album: it’s honest, flows perfectly from start to finish, and while having a variety of song types, it’s able to have reoccurring sonic themes.
Do yr gf or bf a favor and get this album.
more info from his bandcamp page:
seabrights second full length. recorded in the fall and winter of 2010, the music is centered around analog equipment and instruments.
The collection started as a short EP, but then spiraled out of control as i began to finish more and more tracks. I initially wanted it to be 4 or 5 songs and had specific moods in mind. Once i finished those songs, i wanted to keep going and did so.
I feel like the fuzz and noise are all emblematic of my vision of the fall/winter and they sum up my musical tastes during these seasons.
i hope you enjoy the music. stay tuned for a new release in the spring or summer!
all songs written and recorded by justin morales from october to december 2010.
