Counterglow by Asobi Seksu

We’ve been fans of Asobi Seksu’s shimmering guitars and fairy-esque vocals since their sophomore masterpiece Citrus. Their newest album, Fluorescence, pulls back the reigns to offer a pop oriented approach. The magic is still in the pudding tho; they just turned down the My Bloody Valentine influence in favor of more Cocteau Twins.
Yuki Chikudate holds down the vocals on all the tracks except the track we posted above, where guitarist James Hanna steps in with a glo-fi swagger. It sounds more Lemonade than Asobi.
